"Sport, Health and Law - Training courses and career opportunities" is the conference scheduled for January 23, 2025 at the Department of Law, De Sanctis room, at 9.30 am , organized by the School of Specialization of Legal Professions directed by Professor Francesco Rossi in conjunction with Professor Maria Camilla Spena, holder of the chair of Health Law, with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples, the Campania Region, the AdAstra Foundation and the Mennea Foundation.

The meeting aims, through the intervention of qualified speakers, to provide an in-depth overview of the interaction between the world of sport, health and law, and of the career, training and specialization opportunities for those who wish to work in the sports sector, which is increasingly intertwined with the transformation of the legal professions.

Career opportunities in these areas are evolving in an increasingly complex and articulated context that requires legal professionals to have specific skills and continuous updating to manage the legal implications arising from new technologies for the management of rights and transactions related to sport, up to the ownership of data and the legal protection of health and the privacy of athletes.

A topic of growing relevance in the current context , in which the world of sport is experiencing a continuous evolution both in terms of regulations and professional practices. Athletes, in fact, are increasingly considered as professionals who require special attention not only from a physical point of view, but also from a legal and health perspective. In a context like the current one, where the health and sporting career of athletes are increasingly interconnected with legal and technological dynamics, legal health protection becomes a fundamental area to guarantee the protection of athletes' rights, while improving the quality of their career and overall well-being. The growing professionalization of sport brings new challenges related to the management of athletes' health, who must be protected not only during competitions, but also in their long-term career.
